The Seacoast Tai-Chi Institute was founded in 2000 with permission from Grand Master Gin-Soon Chu and his son, Master Fong – Vincent Chu to propagate the Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan in North America. Seacoast Tai-Chi Institute is one of—if not the finest– school teaching traditional Tai-Chi Chuan and Qigong Healing Arts in the Greater Tri-State area today. Unlike many others, The Seacoast Tai Chi Institute is a full-time program offering the best Tai-Chi Chuan instruction in the Seacoast. The founder, Shifu-Nicanor Snow, has studied with authorized teacher Grandmaster Gin-Soon Chu and son Master Fong Chu (second son), both of whom are heir to the legendary Yang Cheng-Fu. Master Chu received a deep and well-rounded training, first from Master Lai Hok Soon and then Grandmaster Yang Sau-Chung, a training that covered all aspects of Classical Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan. Shifu-Nicanor Snow’s Seacoast Tai-Chi Institute attracts students from around the northeast as well as outside the region.  With a traditional approach to training characterized by personal, individualized attention, emphasis on correct forms, personal development, integration of body, chi and intent, repetition, mutual respect, and hard work, the Seacoast Tai-Chi Institute promises a rewarding experience. Since 2000, Shifu-Nicanor Snow has maintained a prominent school  in Portsmouth, NH and classes in Massachusetts. Over the years, many students have benefited from his coaching and comment about the knowledge and affect that Tai-Chi Chuan has in their daily lives. The Seacoast Tai-Chi Institute was established to better serve our community members and other communities nearby that seek internal arts and energy healing for sustaining health and to learn a yielding martial arts practice. All instructions, private and group, are taught by Shifu-Nicanor Snow and his hand-picked, dedicated students who assist in the group classes.
